Vocational social entrepreneurial education and training and, specifically, the pilot phase of the INNOVENTER project, which is co-funded by the Interreg BalkanMed 2014-2020 programme, were the subject of the event organised by the CCCI on Friday 14 December 2018 in Nicosia.
Among the event’s speakers was Mr George Isaias, Director of the Synthesis Center for Research and Education, who presented the Social Entrepreneurship course that was developed under the INNOVENTER project and spoke about how and upon which conditions one can participate in the «INNOVENTER Hub of Knowledge for the Development of the Social Enterprises Ecosystem in Cyprus».
Dr Stefanos Spaneas, Associate Professor of the University of Nicosia, explained the methodology to be followed during the INNOVENTER pilot phase as well as the evaluation and certification of all participants.
In addition to free seminars for trainers and vocational education and training workshops for students/new entrepreneurs, the pilot phase will include the implementation of a mentoring scheme by experienced social entrepreneurs. During the event, several persons demonstrated their interest in the INNOVENTER pilot phase by enrolling as trainers, trainees/mentees, and/or mentors.
